Another couple of reasons streetcars irritate me:

• They make impatient motorists drag-race them in attempts to get ahead before hitting a car parked in their lane.
• The above point is doubly dangerous when the driver of a large vehicle with plenty of room to pass takes his sweet time passing the streetcar, forcing cars behind him to race with no view of the parked car ahead.
