The other evening, I was feeling Claire’s tummy to see if I could figure out which way the baby was pointing. At one point, I felt a firm, small protrusion. I gently squeezed it, and it pushed back! It was the baby’s foot, I think. It slid away. I found it again a moment later, and again gave it a gentle squeeze. Once more, it pushed out and moved out of reach.
We kept the game up for a few minutes before we fell asleep. Granted, I’m calling it a game, but for all I know the baby found it irritating. Regardless, it was my first ever interaction with our kid, and it was pretty darn nifty.
