We had ready access to really good Chinese dim sum when we lived in Toronto, and this was definitely one of the good things about the Big Smoke. Upon our arrival in New Brunswick, we were a bit worried that the only readily available Chinese food seemed to be the Canadianized fare consisting of egg rolls, chow mein and deep-fried chicken balls.
Claire spent some time researching maritime dim sum availability on the web, without luck. One Saturday about a month ago, she visited the local market and met a vendor who gave her a flyer for a Moncton restaurant called the Happy Wok. They serve dim sum on weekends!
Well, we ate there today and are happy to report that Moncton indeed has good dim sum. All the dishes at the Happy Wok were homemade, fresh, and really tasty. We’ll definitely eat there again, and bring our friends.
