About Pierre
A Google search will reveal there are a lot of guys with the same name as mine, and a lot of them are doing great things. I suppose I owe the hapless web surfer who stumbles upon my site a way to tell me apart from the multitude of other Pierre Séguins.
I was born in a small city in northern Alberta in the mid-seventies to a teacher and a schoolboard superintendent. My family and I moved around a fair bit within Canada, first to Edmonton, then to Trois-Rivières, Québec, then to Sudbury, Ontario. Along the way, I picked up a sister and a brother. I did several years’ worth of growing up in Sudbury before going to university in Québec City, and then a stint in London, Ontario. I lived in Toronto, Ontario from 1997 to 2007. I lived for almost two years in Sackville, New Brunswick before returning to Toronto in September of 2009.
I am the proud papa of Leo, born in 2004.
I have a lot of interests. I enjoy music, whether it’s playing, listening or composing. I get a kick out of anything mechanical, fast and/or capable. Reading is a great way to relax for me and, as you may have guessed from the fact that I have a blog, I like to write, too.
I speak, read and write in both French and English, but this site is in the latter language because of its universality on the internet. Besides, translating everything into French would be a drag.
That’s about all I can think of right now. Please enjoy my site, and come back again soon.
Cheers,
This Pierre Séguin
