For the past few years, I kept hearing about all the neat buildings that were opened to the public for Doors Open Toronto, but for some reason I was never able to make it. This saddened me, for in addition to having recently become an avid shutterbug, I have a thing for cool old buildings. Ask Claire, who subjects me to some ribbing for stopping to read every bronze plaque I see.
But finally this year, we didn’t miss it. My man Leo and I spent the better part of a day criss-crossing Toronto’s downtown, running amuck with camera and stroller, and generally having a grand old time. The pictures are here. I feel like I’ve barely scratched the surface of this fascinating city though. Next year, I have to make a point of being in T.O. when it comes around again.
